We're Being Published

Just wanted to share some great news. Our girl, kasi has just signed a contract to have her first novel published by OMNIFIC Publishing. We are very proud of her and wanted to share our news with you. The novel is what is being called an alternative romance and deals with a woman's journey of discovery into the worlds of polyamory and power exchange relationships. It is headed for editing in the next couple of weeks and should be available in stores everywhere within the next year. See Omnific's work at omnificpublishing.com and support those who support us. We will keep everyone updated on when and where it will be available. Great job kasi, we are all very proud of you.

Happenings in October

Hello all-

We would like to start out this month by saying how nice it was to see everyone at Folsom Fringe and the Folsom Street Fair. It was a great time as always. A chance to see some of you who have been customers since the beginning and a chance to meet new friends.

This month we have a number of shows and are looking forward to seeing everyone. We start out the month with a show this weekend at the Sanctuary here in Denver. It is the bi-annual Leather Magic fund raiser. It is a great charity and something everyone who can support it should. With the holidays coming up it is always nice to be able to give a bit back to the community that has always shown us such great support.

Next weekend is going to be a new show for us. We were fortunate enough to be choosen as vendor for the Mile High Con which is a science fiction/fantasy convention held at the Hyatt Regency in the Denver Tech Center on October 22-24th. It will have a number of well known authors and artists in addition to many vendors, classes and activities. If you get the chance come on out and say hello.

Finally, we were contacted and asked to do a fashion show on the 29th of this month at the Sugar House. It is the 10th annual Vampires Ball and should be a lot of fun. We are putting together a collection of outfits that should blow you away. I won't give away to many details right now but know that we are going to have a great time doing this for all of you and hope you can all make it out that night to see the show.

Talk to you all again real soon and be sure to look for us this holiday season at Southwest Plaza Mall in the Dicken's Store during the month's of November and December for all of your holiday chainmail needs.

September Happenings

Hello all- Sorry it has been a few weeks since my last blog and a lot has happened since then. We did Thunder in late July and had a fantastic show, thanks again to all who came out and saw us we really appreciated you all. Then in early August we were fortunate enough to get to go to Fetcon in Tampa Florida and see what that show was all about. We were fortunate enough to meet some really nice people and do well enough that we are going to try and do that show again next year. it is a little different from many of the shows that we do in that it has a large number of photographers and models at it which was a really cool change of pace.

We then did a few smaller outdoor shows here locally. A street fair in Littleton Colorado put on by Reinke Brothers and a pride festival in Boulder Colorado. We were a little worried about the Boulder show since it was right during the time of the four mile canyon fire which made national news and was not to far away but the organizers of the show did a fantastic job and a good time was had by all. It is always nice to get to do shows so close to home where we get to see so many of our friends.

We also had the opportunity to go to the Grand Junction Colorado area and do a show called Rock Jam which was a two day outdoor music festival. it was a great show, our booth was right where we could see the main stage and the jumbo tron so we got to see all of the bands without having to miss meeting any of you. they had some great bands like Heart, Alice Cooper and Cinderella as well as many other bands. A really good time.

And now this weekend we head off to California to do Folsom Fringe on Friday and Saturday and the Folsom Street Fair on Sunday. This is one of our favorite shows of the year because the people there treat us so well. It is a great atmosphere and if you have never had the opportunity to go you need to try to make it next year. It is a lot of fun and an experience that must be lived to be believed.

We are working on some new designs and hope to have them out in time for Christmas. If you have any comments please share them with us we would love to hear from you all.

July Happenings

Hello all- Just thought I would catch you all up on what we have been up to in the month of July. At the beginning of the month we did a fantastic photo shoot with Griffimages (http://www.griffimages.com/) with two lovely ladies who really made our outfits look good, thank you again spryte and Heather.

We also did two shows in the month of July, Romcon (The World Romance Writers Convention) and Thunder in the Mountains both of which were right here in Denver. We enjoyed both shows very much and got the opportunity to meet some wonderful people. Romcon was a bit of a different venue for us but since kasi (one of the three members of Poly's Pleasures) recently finished her manuscript it gave us a great chance to learn some things about the publishing industry and network with other writers.

I can't say enough nice things about Thunder in the Mountains, it is a fetish/kink event that was our best show ever so thank you very much from the three of us to all of you who were there. You all made us feel very welcome and we picked up a few new ideas of more goodies. One of our new products for that show were the new Half Persian floggers which seemed to be a big hit. yes that is one of them in the photo to the right.

We are off next week to Tampa, Florida for the Fetcon show and we are really looking forward to seeing how that show goes. If you are able to make it by the booth during that show please be sure and stop by and say hi. We are hoping to have a few new clothing items, one of a kind designs ready for the show.
Take it easy and we look forward to seeing you all at a show near you soon.

Welcome

We here at Poly's Pleasures Chainmail would just like to welcome you to our blog and invite you to share our love for all things chainmail. In the posts we will be doing on a fairly regular basis we will tell you about shows we are headed to, shows we have just finished, new designs we are working on as well as anything else we think you might be interested in. We will be sharing pictures of our work and of people who are wearing our pieces. We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on our posts and look forward to a long relationship with each of you.

To let you know a little about us, we are a polyfi triad who decided to get into the business of chainmail in early 2008 in order to fund our chainmail addiction. We have spent the last three years doing about 20 shows each year from coast to coast trying to find our niche. We have been very fortunate to get to meet a lot of really fun and interesting people across the country and learn a lot not only about chainmail and owning a small business but about people and relationships in general. We have been able to participate in a wide diversity of shows from arts and craft shows to bead shows, Renaissance festivals, music festival, writer's conventions, gay pride festivals and kink/BDSM shows.

We would love to have you visit our site and see all of our goodies at www.polyspleasures.com
